I pulled out my 35mm while at my sisters house. I liked some of the photos that came out.

Music

this was a great final project.

We had to creat a piece of art that coresponds (in our own way) with an instrumental. I choose to do a literal interpetation, and I am preatty pleased with my final outcome.

Got Wood?

A group floor assignment was to creat 2D composistions out of scraps of wood. I found this to be a little tricky because of the peices of wood that my group selected, but we managed.

An odd project, but semi-entertaining was when we had to creat composistions using colored paper and plexi glass…it was weird.

Google with a hint of Diebenkorn

Filed under: Uncategorized — michaelcurtis @ 6:25 pm

We were to select 15 images from google that all fell under one search, mine was “Help”. After selecting them we had to arrange them using the negative space of any our choosing. I really enjoyed this project, and was kinda satisfied with the outcome, until I continued to work on it.

Deibenkorn, sketches

Based off another project we did, we had to draw some photographs we took in a small sketch form. I found this to be a little unneeded, as, we never came back to them or they were never checked.

One of my favourite assignments this past year in any of my classes was when we had to go out and take pictures that were quasi-diebenkorn in composition. I really enjoy photography, so this assignment was enjoyable. these are my ten photographs.

This was an intersting project, it started off with me and a peer (i.e Jason Korff) playing a game of chess, as shown below:

The practice of working together on a sheet of paper at that size, and with charkole set us up for our next assignment. The project was to recreate a Diebenkorn  photo much larger that what it actually is. We chose to do our’s 3x the size of the original. I’m happy with the outcome and enjoyed this project.
